 ISLAMABAD: Chief Justice Iftikhar Mohammad Chaudhry on Thursday took strong exception to the current National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Chairman Naveed Ahsan continuing to hold his position despite the Supreme Court's order to have him replaced.

In his remarks during hearing, chief justice warned of action against NAB officials who ignored the Supreme Court's orders.

A three-member bench of Supreme Court headed by Chief Justice Itikhar Chaudhry heard the case of Haris Steel Mills. The lawyer of Seth Yakoob Dr. Basit said NAB has ignored the court orders regarding Seth Yakoob. Chief Justice has asked the NAB that under which law they made plea-bargains. Khawaja Harid informed the court that NAB didn’t reply any one of the letters sent to it. He said NAB is demanding Rs.2 billion as commission. The hearing will be adjourned till tomorrow.
