security measures taken on Eid Milad-un-Bani (SAWW) KARACHI: The Home Ministry of Sindh has claimed adopting foolproof security measures in connection with the processions, congregations, gatherings of Milaad and Na’ats’ competitions, Ulemas and faithful being present at the processions all across metropolis on the eve of Jashn-e-Eid Milad-un-Nabi (SAWW), statement issued from Home Ministry told media on early Saturday.

Heavy contingents of security personnel, comprising a large number of police and rangers’ officials, have been deployed around mosques, and on the route of the chief Eid Milad procession to be taken out later in the day in order to thwart any terror attack.

According to the statement, Home Minister Sindh Dr. Zulfiqar Mirza has been submitted a detailed report on security plan compiled by city police in connection with Eid Milad-un-Nabi (SAWW).

The report said, the additional police troops have been called in Karachi on the eve of Eid Milad, keeping in view the recent terrorism attacks in country and prevailing law and order situation.

Meanwhile, volunteer security men will be escorted all the major and small religious processions and gatherings to be taken out from different town and localities in Karachi.

Earlier, the bomb disposable squad issued clearance after thoroughly sweeping the route of chief procession.

Hidden CCTV cameras have been installed and Command and Control Centers have also been set up which will monitor the route of main procession, the report said.

Also, the Minister has issued directives to all districts and town police officers to remain present until the end of Milad processions and at the Milad gatherings and Na’ats competitions.
