Govt using reforms committee on judges issue: Nisar

Govt using reforms committee on judges issue: NisarISLAMABAD: Leader of the Opposition in National Assembly Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan has said that he has never accused anyone of corruption and nobody should take revenge from the country’s system for his sins.

Speaking at the National Assembly today, he said no elected president has ever pointed fingers at the state organs. “If the government is ready for dangal (wrestling), then the opposition will also challenge it,” he said.

On the issue of judges’ appointment, a heated debate broke out between Opposition leader Chaudhry Nisar Ali and NA Speaker Dr Fehmida Mirza.

Khan said that there was no justification to sit in the house if the Speaker intercepted his speech.

The PML-N leader said the government wants to use the parliamentary committee on constitutional reforms regarding appointment of judges.

“There is a wall of mistrust among us, he said, adding the government has still got time to set its course.”
