ISLAMABAD: Former National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Lt Gen (rtd) Shahid Aziz said the Bureau is legally not subordinate to anyone, Geo News reported Sunday.

Talking to Geo News in ‘Mere Mutabiq’, he said the NAB is authorized for probe of cases on its own and can directly enter deal with Interpol and foreign investigative agencies.

Aziz said the NAB was practically under the Prime Minister and everything including finance, holidays, movement were under PM control; however, for cases investigation, the Bureau was independent.

The same is enshrined in the NAB law that the body can directly deal with all foreign law and investigative agencies including Interpol, he asserted.
