   PESHAWAR: At least nine people were killed in incidents spawned by downpours and landslidings in the upper areas of the NWFP, Geo News reported Tuesday.

In Alpuri tehsil of Shangla district, at least four people including children and women lost their lives as their house roof collapsed on them.

MNA from Shangla Fazlullah told Geo News that several houses were damaged in the recent lashing rains; while, the land links are also cut off owing to the landsliding.

A woman was killed, as her house crumbled in tehsil Thall of Hangu District.

Also, there are reports that two men were killed when their avalanche-hit van skidded off into a gorge in Battagram tehsil of Allai. MNA from Battagram Taj Muhammed Khan Tran confirmed the incident.

There are reports regarding the killing of a man in District Kohistan; while, two people including a woman were reportedly killed in Hazara Division.

All land links in Chittral have been cut off and the routine life is severely disrupted in the entire area, as the frosty weather is assuming tremendous proportions.
