Attock police seize explosive-laden truck
According to police sources, the truck was captured from the area of Haji Shah on GT Road around last midnight. All three miscreants managed to escape in the dark of night.
Police recovered ten packs of gunpowder, wires and other bomb-making equipments from the vehicles.
The media quoted police sources as saying that the vehicle might be used for another attack in the province following a suicide attack on the Special Security Agency office in Lahore, the provincial capital.
The truck was coming from the North West Frontier Province ( NWFP) that shares its border with Afghanistan. The truck was trying to enter the Punjab province but police officials checked it and found it loaded with explosives.
Meanwhile, earlier in the morning two bombs were also found which were planted adjacent to the home of Misree Khan, an anti- Taliban local journalist in Hungo district of the NWFP.
