Partial strike in Karachi against Mufti Saeed killing
Commuters going to their offices faced troubles owing to thin public transport.
Jamaat Islami, Jamiat Ulema-e-Pakistan (JUP), JUI-Sami Group, Jamiat Ahle Hadith, Pakistan Muslim League (PML-N) of Sindh, Pakistan Muslim League (PML-Q) and Pakistan Democratic Party announced to support the JUI-F’s strike.
Karachi Transport Ittehad Chairman Irshad Bukhari also announced to join the strike.
The traffic and public transport on the road remained thin.
Additional contingents of police and the Rangers were deployed in sensitive areas during strike.
Meantime, the life came to standstill in Mirpur Khas, as complete strike is being observed in the city.
