KARACHI: The lawyers on Wednesday completed their arguments before a local court about the detained leaders of Muttahida Qaumi Movement Haqiqi group in connection with a murder case.

The court would give the ruling in this case on March 20.

Additional Session Judge Haji Ubaid Ahmed Khan heard the case at the Judicial Complex.

Lawyers of accused Afaq Ahmed and Amir Khan wrapped up their arguments before the court. They told the court that a false case was filed against their clients MQM Haqiqi leaders, while Special Persecutor demanded punishment saying the murder charge had already been proved.

During the hearing, 14 witnesses recorded their statements.

A murder case against Afaq Ahmed and Amir Khan was registered in connection with the murder of an MQM activist on June 19, 1992.
