   ISLAMABAD: Interior Minister Rehman Malik has deplored today’s incidents of violence in Abbotabad against the renaming of NWFP as Pakhtunkhwa.

The provincial governments is closely watching the demonstrations,” he told Geo News.

The interior minister urged the people to refrain from such activities that my harm the county’s integrity.

“People have the right to protest, but they are now allowed to attack the police stations,” he said.

Malik said Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa IG is chalking out a strategy to bring the situation under control in the restive areas.
