NEPRA slashes power tariff by 57 paisas/unit
| ISLAMABAD: The National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) has reduced the power tariff by 57 paisas per unit for the month of March, Geo News reported Friday. The cut in the electricity price has been made in the wake of lower production cost, the NEPRA announced. According to NEPRA, the consumers would get the relief in the next electricity bill. In addition, the electricity regulatory authority directed the power distribution companies to mention the difference in the next bill. It may be reminded that the NEPRA had increased the power tariff by Rs1.2 in February. |
