Rehman telephones Altaf

 LONDON: Interior Minister Rehman Malik today contacted Muttahida Qaumi Movement chief Altaf Hussain on phone and felicitated him for the passage of landmark 18th Amendment Bill.President Asif Ali Zardari singed into law the 18th Amendment Bill in a ceremony on Monday. Both leaders exchanged views on political situation, 18th Amendment and other matters of mutual interests. The MQM chief congratulated President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani and constitutional reforms committee over approval of 18th Amendment. In addition, he urged the country’s democratic forces to pay their role to get rid of power crisis, price hike and unemployment. |
