ISLAMABAD: Akbar Khan Achakzai has resigned as Senior Joint Secretary of Law Ministry, following the footsteps of former attorney general Anwar Mansoor Khan.

In his resignation, Akbar Khan Achakzai, who belonged to Balochistan, stated that hurdles were being created in the discharging of his professional responsibilities, making it impossible for him to continue on the post of senior joint secretary.

Talking to Geo News, he confirmed to have tendered his resignation on April 6 which was accepted today (Saturday).

He said it was the attitude of Law Minister Babar Awan which forced him resign.
