Jets bomb militant dens in Orakzai, 9 killed

Updated at: 1949 PST, Saturday, May 01, 2010 PESHAWAR: Nine militants were killed and five other were wounded on Saturday in bombings carried out by jet planes in Orakzai Agency. According to sources, security forces backed by fighter planes carried out bombardment on militants’ dens in Kasha, Sheikhan and Saif Darra. So far more than 500 militants have been killed in the ongoing military operation started some five weeks ago. On the other hand, armed militants stormed a security convoy, leaving a solider, named Phoolzeb injured, who was shifted to a nearby hospital. |
