Power loadshedding, sugar crisis continues
PEPCO is facing shortfall of 3,000 MW and to overcome this shortfall, unannounced loadshedding of several hours is continued. Lahore is facing nine hours of loadshedding whereas other towns and villages experiencing more then 16 hours loadshedding. The PEPCO sources declared the situation as satisfactory.
On the other hand, sugar crisis deepened across the country and it is not available even at the rate of Rs.50/kg. The sugar dealers have stopped supply to shopkeepers. They said sugar millers have stopped providing sugar supply and they will resume supply to shopkeepers as soon as they will get the sugar from sugar mills. District government said excessive sugar is providing from sugar mills and situation will be improved within two to three days.
