QUETTA: President Asif Ali Zardari took notice of birth of a child in a rickshaw in over three-hour traffic hold-up during VVIP movement here, Geo News reported Friday.

Zardari directed the provincial government to look into the incident where the pregnant mother was not allowed to move to hospital.

According to Presidential spokesman Farhatullah Babar, the President has ordered the probe into the incident.

It should be mentioned that important thoroughfares in the provincial capital were blocked since morning for Zardari’s protocol during his Quetta tour.

The wife of Momin Khan was stuck in traffic at Airport Road owing to the VVIP movement and was not allowed to move to the hospital for over three hours. Resultantly, the child was born in rickshaw.
