   ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Yusuf Raza Gilani Monday announced that women ombudspersons will be appointed and directed the government departments to ensure implementation of 10 per cent CSS quota for women.

Addressing a programme here at the convention centre on the occasion of International Women’s Day, the Premier said administrative and financial autonomy will be granted to National Commission on Status of Women.

He also announced to convert Youth Development Centre located in Quetta into Working Women Hostel. He said such hostels will also be set up in all the federal and provincial governments.

Prime Minister Gilani said the First Women Bank will be strengthened.

He said the policy and national action plan for the rights of women will soon be tabled in the Parliament. The process of approval of bill on domestic violence is nearing completion.
