 ISLAMABAD: Director General Rescue 1122 Dr Rizwan Naseer claimed that he had offered the police to collect evidence from the crime scene of Benazir Bhutto’s assassination. But the then CCPO Rawalpindi Saud Aziz had not only had rejected the offer but also issued order to hose down the crime scene.

Addressing a news conference on completion of five years of Rescue 1122 Tuesday, Dr. Naseer said he had conducted an inquiry into the incident, which proved there was no fault of the Rescue 1122 in this regard.

“The police had rejected our offer to secure evidence from the crime scene,” he said.
